A very big thank you to the “Axminster Musical Theatre” for arranging a fund raiser at Kilmington Village Hall and inviting us along. The evening was well attended, with a generous show of food and a great raffle. Chris taught his new dance “Travelling Man” which went well, rather a quick dance but everyone managed to pick it up. The evening went by very quickly and plans have already been put in place for us to visit them again next year, so watch this space. Thanks to everybody who came along and made it a great success. See all the pictures here. Our Sunday Tea Dance was very well attended and the buffet was absolutely super which was supplied by everyone who came along. Chris organised a quiz, which was rather hard, but it got everyone’s brain cells working. One question on the sheet “Name four top UK hit singles that Cliff Richard had before 1985 that began with the letter W” well there you go, see what I mean. Another great weekend was had line dancing with Peter Metelnick, Alison Biggs and guest Choreographer Ria Vos who taught many new dances which should keep me busy over the next few weeks! We danced some old favourites and many more besides. Saturday night’s theme was ‘Disco’ and from flashing head gear to flashing foot wear I think we did well. Check out the weekender photos here.   We couldn’t have wished for better weather at Branscombe Village Fete on Saturday 19th many thanks to the organisers for inviting us along and to our class members who joined in and supported us. Good to see you all after our much needed week’s holiday. We demonstrated two dances – Fireball and Cecelia before getting the general public involved and joining in the fun with us. We were asked to do a demonstration at the Honiton Annual “Charter Day” held at Allhallows Playing Field on Saturday 25th many thanks to Gary Elliott for inviting us along and to our class members and the general public who joined in. It was a lovely sunny day and we demonstrated three dances – Up, Fireball and Cecelia before getting the public involved and joining in the fun with us. It was a glorious day at Hembury Fort Nursing Home, with raffle, local stalls selling bric-a-brack, The Society of King George the Third (SKG3) demonstrating their rifles and cannon  And to top it all we were there with class members! Thank you to all the class members for coming along and to everyone for joining in, including the residents, and a big thank you to Hembury Fort House for inviting us we had a great time.
