Coldharbour Solstice Sessions

Hello everyone,

I wanted to express what a fantastic day we had at the Coldharbour Farm Shop Summer Solstice Festival on Saturday, 22nd June.

The weather was amazing, and we enjoyed pizza, shortbread, and coffee for dinner and tea, with a few shandies in between.

Mr. was in his element plane spotting as the views were fantastic and we were under a flight path into Exeter Airport.

The day kicked off with a marvellous choir performance, followed by various fantastic acts that continued until 11 pm.

Our session was so popular that the stretch tent filled up, and I even found myself teaching dance outside as there was no room inside.

Chris and I would like to thank everyone for their generous hospitality and for joining in with us.

Despite the challenges of dancing on grass, we received many lovely comments.

One of the best remarks we received was “I’ve never had so much fun in a long time, you two nailed it!” To that young man: thank you!

We are grateful to Coldharbour for inviting us and for all their hard work in keeping us watered and fed.

A special thanks to Dave, the sound engineer, for ensuring that the music blasted out all day.

And finally, a big thank you to our class members who attended on the day. It was wonderful to see you enjoying your dancing.

We look forward to the next time we can all meet, whether it’s in a tent, in the middle of a field, or on the dance floor.

Take Care
