Happy New Year to you all,   We had a good start to the classes there were a few people missing some with the dreaded flu, but hopefully, they will back on the dance floor soon! Still on a high from celebrating my birthday and I have to say I haven’t put the cards away yet and the flowers are still looking as fresh. If you haven’t already done so, remember to check out the previous news update where you will find links to the pictures and videos from the evening. Don’t forget we are at Uplyme Village Hall on the 24th February. Line dancing, all in aid of the Lyme Regis Musical Theatre. What a great night with Billy Curtis and the surprise show from Karl Harry Winson Wow! I could not believe it. Absolutely fantastic night thank you to everyone for coming along and making the night so enjoyable. I hope you all enjoyed the evening as much as I did, and to my family for taking part in the dancing, (We can work on your technique, you just need to give it time  And thank you for the lovely cards and gifts so generous, words fail me  And finally a massive thank you to Chris, for giving us all a good evenings entertainment. Great atmosphere with Harriet and the rest of the Hen Party and of course Chris (Wouldn’t leave him at homeJ) Taught dances to their favourite songs like Telescope by Hayden Panettiere, Fix a Drink by Chris Janson and others that I use at classes. Nice to see everyone in the traditional western outfits including their cowboy boots! Best wishes go to Harriet on her wedding day and also to Vicky who is expecting her baby soon. Hello Everyone Many thanks to all who joined us at the Wessex Hotel, Street in Somerset for the line dance weekend. It was good fun, full of laughs especially the theme on Saturday “So Not Me” when we all dressed as “Dennis the Menaces’ from Devon”! Turned out to be more like “Where’s Wally” in the end lol! Such good sports, thank you all who joined in with us 🙂 Thanks also go to Billy Curtis for putting on the weekend with Sammy Lee Bassey, Steve Jay and workshops with Tina Argyle and Hayley Wheatley Tina taught: Take The Highway, Melodia and All I Need. Hello Everybody This was our seventh visit to Lakeview Manor for our annual dinner and dance. Sunny spells and heavy showers were frequent throughout the day. Chris handed out the quiz sheets which kept everyone amused while they were having dinner. Soon we were on our feet dancing.  Chris was showing everyone his car, but I have to say he didn’t go far! (Oh I’m a poet and didn’t know it 🙂 ) As the afternoon progressed we had the quiz results as well as “Make me something from the balloons” competition.  Congratulations to the winners with ginger bread men and chocolates all round. More dancing and then it was time for a quick game of bingo. Yes BINGO in the middle of the dance floor organised by – yes you guessed it Quiz Master Chris lol! One lucky lady went away with £71.00 and a gentleman had £35.00 so not a bad afternoon for those two.
