October 2014 Line Dance Social

Hello Everybody Thank you to all who joined us on Saturday at Kilmington. It was a great success, plenty of dancing, fun, with a raffle and a quiz thrown in. Some wonderful costumes as you will see in the gallery. Congratulations to those who won the quiz, some very testing questions from the host DJ, he done it again well done. News Update

Hello Everyone It was all go at The Wessex Hotel in Street, Somerset for a fabulous weekend of dancing. A party of us went to The Billy Curtis weekend to see Karl Winson and Kate Sala. We all dressed up for the fancy dress on Saturday evening, have a look in the gallery. Thank you to all who joined us, it was a fun weekend with great company.     The two of us were invited to Plymouth Hoe on Sunday 5th October to warm up the walkers for the “The Memory Walk” with some fast paced line dancing in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. The Twerzels, Jemma Jones of Plymouth Radio were on hand to keep everyone entertained. The walkers set off at 11am and all made it back in time for lunch. The atmosphere was wonderful, well done to all who took part and especially to the organisers for making the day go so well. News Update

Hello Everybody We are now three quarters of the way through the year, and what a year it has been. Our new classes at the Beehive, updated web site, new clothing,  t-shirts, polo shirts and even caps! All classes are going really well, loads of dances to choose from, there is never a dull moment. Our next social will be Saturday 25th October with a ‘Pantomime Theme’ fancy dress optional, at Kilmington Village Hall, 7.30pm start, come along and join us. Tickets are now on sale for New Year’s Eve Social. It’s an excellent way to see the Old Year out and the New Year in. Now before I forget there are a couple of dates we are unable to have classes – Monday 13th October due to the Parish Council meeting and Wednesday 15th October due to the hall being previously booked out. Exminster Village Fete

  Hello Everybody Thank you to the people of Exminster.  We had a great time with you all at the Village Fete. A few black clouds passed over us but the sun kept shining through. The demo’s went well followed by some nice easy dances, which the general public got up and joined in. Thank you to our Westernspirit Line Dancers for coming along. Honiton Sunday Afternoon Social 3rd August 2014

Hello Everybody A big thank you to all those who joined us on Sunday for our afternoon tea dance. It was a great success, plenty of dancing, fun, food, raffle and a quiz thrown in. Bee Hive Update and more

  Hello everybody The new classes at the Beehive Centre, Honiton are going well, lots of new faces. We are receiving good feedback from the beginners who are enjoying putting all the steps together. Before long you will wonder why you found that ‘Jazz Box’ and ‘Shuffle’ so testing. We’re having a tea dance at the Mackarness Hall, High Street, Honiton on Sunday 3rd August at 2pm. A bring and share buffet with Tea and Coffee provided plus a raffle. So do join us for an afternoon of dancing and fun. And finally a reminder that I am looking for some volunteers to help me on Sunday 17th August at Exminster Fete which opens at 11am in the morning. Our dancing starts around 4pm which will include (hopefully) general public joining in and having a go for half an hour maybe more. The theme for the day will be ‘Wild West’ so see you there ‘partner’. Take care Marina & Chris

New classes starting at the Beehive Centre in Honiton every Wednesday from July 2nd   [Not a valid template] Beginner class 7pm to 7.50pm Improver/Intermediate class 8pm to 9pm Come and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with us and meet new friends.
